  By profession of faith and baptism by immersion.

A person who begins the Christian life does so through baptism, which is a symbol of God’s grace through Jesus Christ. Baptism accompanies a person’s public profession of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Through baptism, a person identifies with the life, death, resurrection, and continuing ministry of Jesus Christ. As with most Baptist Christians, Christ Church practices baptism by immersion as a way to physically depict this spiritual reality. If God is leading you to this decision, the pastor will be happy to visit with you about this important step in your spiritual life.

  By Transfer from another denomination.

As fellow followers of Jesus Christ, we welcome Christians from other denominations into our fellowship. Since you have been baptized into the Christian faith in another denomination, it is not necessary to be re-baptized to celebrate your spiritual growth. You will be asked to support Christ Church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service. Christ Church will handle the details of notifying your former church.

  By transfer from another Baptist Church.

Individuals who are members of other Baptist churches are received by that church’s letter of recommendation or promise of it. Christ Church will write to the previous church for the letter.
